St. Ann’s Society Parish Council of Catholic Women is a parish organization made up of all the women within the Sacred Heart Parish. Parish membership is automatic with no dues. Our monthly meetings are usually the second Thursday of the month and we meet at McDevitt Hall at 6:00 PM. There is no meeting in July. In September we elect officers, in December it’s our Christmas party!!!
St. Ann’s is known for the Annual Bazaar in November. There are man committees that work year round in preparation for it. There is bound to be one that you can add your talents to help us out. It is our main fundraiser to allow our council to raise money to pay for the altar supplies used throughout the year and to contribute to worthy causes including Sacred Heart School, the Sacred Hearts Women’s volleyball team , Voice for Life, Birthright, Missouri Catholic Conference, Catholic Relief Service, southern Missouri Catholic Charities, diocesan seminarians, and a variety of other needs within the parish and community. St. Ann’s was instrumental in organizing the Eucharistic Adoration on Mondays and Tuesdays as well as the Phone Prayer Chain. We also wash the altar purificators with women taking a monthly turn to do so. St. Ann’s along with the Knights of Columbus have been the foundation for the parish funeral dinners under the umbrella of the Time and Talent Committee.
